Olga Ella’s patchworked denim garments are works of textile art, and this one-of-its-kind jacket is no exception. It was created by deconstructing various vintage denim pieces and recombining them in patchworked stripes — using the parts in such a thoughtful and creative way, such as the outer sides seams from a pair of jeans that now form the cuffs of the jacket. Not to mention the red top-stitching that adds another layer of interest. The denim pieces involved are different shades, and most or all are from other vintage garments. All of the wear and patina in the fabrics contributes to the unique character of the piece.
