A wire brush is first used to distress the wood by hand before applying a polyurethane finish that is designed to resist naturally occurring wood finish changes from the outdoor elements. Due to the hand-applied nature of the finish, uneven application or uneven wire brushing is possible. Washed Ever Teak finish may fade and wear over time, and as the finish deteriorates, the natural teak underneath will become visible and gradually turn grey. The rate of this weathering will vary based on factors such as climate, exposure, and maintenance levels. To protect your furniture from the elements and minimize aging, we strongly recommend using outdoor covers. Care & Maintenance Use a dry, clean cloth to dust and clean furniture weekly. For spot cleaning, spray off any debris with a hose and brush off any dirt or debris with a soft-bristle brush. For a more robust cleaning, mix warm water with a mild non-use abrasive soap and clean with a soft-bristle brush. Rinse with water and dry with a soft cloth.
