An accent table is a versatile small-scale furniture piece designed to add function and style to a room without dominating the space. Typically used beside seating, in entryways, or as focal points, accent tables include side tables, end tables, and console designs. They serve to hold lamps, drinks, books, or decorative objects while contributing to the room's overall aesthetic. What You Get With the Bassett Mirror Wren Accent Table Italian Black Marble Top -- natural veining ensures no two tables are identical, bringing organic luxury to modern interiors. 16-Inch Round Surface -- compact footprint fits beside sofas, chairs, or beds without crowding tight spaces. 24-Inch Height -- optimal proportion for pairing with standard seating and for use as a bedside table. Matte Black Iron Base -- industrial-modern cross-support construction provides stability and complements the dark marble top. Easy Assembly -- straightforward setup lets you place the table in your space quickly. How Do You Style a Side Table? Place the Wren beside a sofa or armchair in your living room to hold a reading lamp and books, or pair it with upholstered seating in a bedroom as a compact nightstand. The round marble top works well in entryways as a landing spot for keys and mail, and the industrial base complements both accent tables and end table groupings in open-plan spaces. Frequently Asked Questions What is the difference between a side table and an end table? Side table and end table are often used interchangeably -- both refer to small tables placed beside seating -- though "end table" traditionally describes a table at the end of a sofa, while "side table" can be more flexible in placement. What height should a side table be next to a sofa? A side table should be within 2 inches of the sofa arm height for comfortable reach, typically 24 to 27 inches tall; the Wren at 24 inches suits most standard sofas. What is an accent table used for? An accent table provides a functional surface for lamps, drinks, or decorative objects while adding visual interest and style to a room. How tall should an end table be? End tables are generally 22 to 30 inches tall to align closely with the arm of a sofa or chair for convenient access. Does the Wren table require assembly?
