In 1895, Frank Lloyd Wright designed and patented a series of 45 prisms of ribbed clear glass tiles for the Luxfer Prism Company. These 4" square sheets of glass used refraction to illuminate deep spaces with natural light. The designs are distinguished by their geometric compositions made up of squares, circles and ovals. Cloud9 Fabrics partnered with the frank Lloyd Wright Foundation on this new line. Spark - I love garment sewing with it and have a few barkcloth tops, but Barkcloth was also widely used in drapery during the 40's and 50's. It's made a comeback (along with FLW) as mid-century modern has become more and more ubiquitous in home decor and surface design. Please note that all fabric is sold in 1/2 yard increments.
