Almost over the top with ripeness, the wine shows raisins, even figs, as well as blue plums, mulberries, and cherries. Though there is some gentle toasty oak, this wine is far more about unabashed fruit than smoky oak, and the wine finishes with a gentle and fruity polish. Drink now or in the next several years. This wine has been made using Monastrell grapes from vines that are around 25 and 35 years old on land with a great deal of limestone. Temperature fluctuations are high - from 10º in the mornings to around 43º at midday. The maceration and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 15 days and at a temperature below 27º to preserve all its aromas. Show more
