This is an 'NeoPixel'-style LED ring with 16x WS2812 chainable and addressable RGB LEDs. Use only one microcontroller pin to control as many as you can chain together! Each LED is addressable as the driver chip is inside the LED. Each LED draws up to 60mA current, and no external circuitry is required besides a controller of nearly any sort feeding the 'DIN' (Data In) line, and the 5V power supply. With libraries such as FastLED you can get up to 30fps with 1000x LEDs in a row, depending on a few external factors.
