The most desirable Dancongs are from higher elevation peaks in the Phoenix mountain range. A quick tell on whether your Dancong was harvested from high elevation is by rubbing a spent leaf between your thumb and index finger. If it breaks down easily into a clay like substance, it's an indication that the leaves were harvested during spring and grown at high elevation where cooler temperatures alongside cloud and fog cover produce a more tender leaf.
