It is a richly textured design that, in addition to knits and purls, incorporates other simple techniques such as slipped stitches and three-stitch cables. The hat is worked bottom-up in the round and features four distinct textured sections: two narrow panels that meet at the top and are joined with a three-needle bind-off, and two wider panels that gradually disappear during the crown shaping.
