Targets problem areas on glass and glossy exterior plastics when used as directed. Where to Use It Automotive paint, exterior glass, glossy non-porous plastics. Avoid hot panels or direct sun. Do not use on bare/polished aluminum or other sensitive, uncoated metals. Always spot-test first. Avoid ceramic coatings: High-concentration acids can break down the polymer chains that bind the SiO_2 particles. This "softens" the coating, making it lose its hardness. The acid can "strip" the top layer of the coating that provides the water-beading effect. Even if the coating isn't fully gone, it will stop performing (water will "sheet" or "flat" instead of beading). Directions Wash and dry the vehicle first. Work on a cool surface.
