Clean, minimalist design. ESRB Mature rating. Quantum Break (2016) was developed by Remedy Entertainment. The studio behind Max Payne and Alan Wake. And it was one of the most ambitious Xbox One exclusives ever attempted. The game blended third-person shooter gameplay with time-manipulation powers and, most uniquely, featured live-action television episodes starring real actors (Shawn Ashmore, Aidan Gillen, Lance Reddick) that played between gameplay chapters. Player choices in the game affected the TV episodes, creating a hybrid entertainment experience unlike anything before or since. Remedy would later refine their supernatural action formula with Control, but Quantum Break remains a fascinating experiment in merging games and television. Time is broken. Xbox One game. Pre-owned.
