The XPENG X2 eVTOL flying car is a two-seat, fully electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft developed by XPENG AEROHT, the fifth-generation model in the Chinese group's urban air mobility program. The Vision XPENG AEROHT is the aerial mobility arm of Chinese EV maker XPENG, tasked with turning short-distance urban trips from a car problem into an air corridor. The XPENG X2 is the platform where that vision is stress-tested in public: a teardrop-shaped, minimalist two-seater aimed at low-altitude city flights, sightseeing, and time-critical medical missions. What Makes It The X2 is built around a full carbon fiber structure, key to hitting the weight and stiffness targets a small eVTOL needs to fly well. It runs on 8 electric motors driving distributed propellers, so it emits no carbon dioxide during flight, an unusual property for personal aviation.
