XTC-3D is a two-part epoxy coating made especially for eliminating striations on 3D printed parts. It dramatically reduces the amount of post finishing work necessary to remove striations and smooth the surface of the 3D print. Can be applied to both SLA and SLS prints and works with PLA, ABS, Laywoo, Powder Printed Parts and other rigid media. XTC-3D is mixed 2A:1B by volume and the mixed resin brushes easily onto any 3D print surface. It holds a vertical surface extremely well and very little is needed to cover a large area. XTC-3D dries clear in thin layers and slightly yellow in thick sections. Can be thinned with denatured alcohol. Coverage: 1oz.(28.3 grams) of mixed material will cover 101 sq.in.(651 sq.cm.) applied at 1/64in.(.04cm) thickness. Working time is 10 minutes if you mix and leave the resin in a cup. You can extend the working time to 15 minutes by pouring the material into a flat container and reduce the mass concentration. XTC-3D cures in 2 to 3.5 hours (depending on mass) to a smooth glass-like, high gloss finish. To eliminate the high gloss finish, lightly sand or buff with steel wool. Color can be added by mixing XTC-3D with SO-Strong, UVO or Ignite colorants. You can add fillers, metal powders, Cast Magic or Glow Worm for a variety of finished effects. You can also paint XTC-3D with acrylic enamel paints. You can coat many surfaces than just those of 3D prints such as EPS, EPDM and urethane foam, wood, plaster, fabric, cardboard, aluminum, steel and more.
