This limited-edition Sprint Run® expression of that design raises the bar even higher with a blade crafted from Carpenter® Technology’s Micro-Melt® PD#1. An air-hardening, cold-work die steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness, PD#1’s advanced alloy composition is further enhanced by the CarTech® Micro-Melt powder metal process. This state-of-the-art process ensures an ultra-fine, extremely homogeneous grain structure. The full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade of this elite knife takes full advantage of these properties. To make it even more distinctive, it is cloaked in a non-reflective titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating and paired with a fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle that is injection molded in a deep burgundy color.
