This is how God created humankind. Man and woman, though made to be different, were both created in the image of God. Therefore, as Christians, we must glorify God by imitating Him (1 Corinthians 11:1; Ephesians 5:1-1; 1 Peter 2:21; 1 John 2:26; etc.). God created a very distinct difference between male and female in our very genetics. In the nucleus of every cell in the human body, there are 23 pairs of chromosomes (making 46 chromosomes total). The first 22 chromosome pairs, known as autosomes, determine all of the characteristics of a human—all characteristics except gender. That brings us to the last two chromosomes in the 23rd pair; these chromosomes determine the gender of the human. Men will have an X chromosome and a Y chromosome. On the other hand, women will have two X chromosomes. These are the only two possible outcomes for the 23rd pair: male or female.
