The Yakima Bait Cut Plug is a trolling plug designed to imitate a wounded cut-plug herring, delivering a tight spinning roll and pronounced tail kick to trigger strikes from salmon, trout, and kokanee. Available in 2.5-inch and 3.0-inch sizes and sold in 2-pack configurations, the Yakima Bait Cut Plug offers realistic action and a bait chamber engineered to hold and disperse scent for longer trolling sessions. Key Features Lifelike Action: Tight spinning wounded-roll action and tail kick that provokes strikes from aggressive salmon and trout. Bait Chamber: Two-part design with an easy-fill cavity that retains scent and disperses it evenly so you don't have to re-bait constantly. Rigging Options: Available pre-rigged (3.0-inch typically rigged with two 2/0 hooks, 2.5-inch with two 1/0 hooks) or unrigged; many pre-rigged versions come with 30# leader line. Anglers choose Yakima Bait Cut Plugs for reliable trolling performance when targeting salmon, trout, and kokanee in freshwater and inshore conditions. The durable two-part plastic construction resists tearing and keeps the sections attached under pressure. Use these plugs with downriggers, planer boards, or standard trolling rigs to cover water quickly and consistently while maintaining scent release and natural action.
