The Yamaha BB434 combines premium construction with versatile sonic capabilities. Its solid alder body paired with a reinforced five-piece maple and mahogany neck ensures durability and stability across extended playing sessions. The rosewood fingerboard delivers smooth playability, whilst dual YGD V5 custom pickups deliver articulate, cutting tones ideal for stage performance. Independent volume controls on each pickup combined with a master tone knob grant precise tonal shaping, enabling players to dial in anything from punchy lows to crystalline highs with ease. One thing that particularly stood out for us in the BB 434 was the its "Diagonal Body Thru Stringing," which allows the strings to pass through the bridge at a 45 degree angle as opposed to traditional vertically strung basses. This works to reduce the stress and effectively transfers the vibration of the strings to the body of the guitar. There are also a host of other key features on the guitar, these include; a new thinner neck shape and lightweight tuners perfect for the new smaller body.
