RIAA accuracy is ±0.5 dB and there is a subsonic filter at −3 dB at 15 Hz to keep warp energy out of the amplifier. The phono transformer sits in its own copper-plated case to contain its magnetic field. Chassis construction follows Yamaha’s stable mechanical grounding approach: the whole chassis is copper-plated, heavy components are rigidly mounted, and the unit stands on newly designed brass spiked feet that can be used as bare spikes or on the supplied scratch guards.
