The best and easiest option in many cases is to just leave your yard waste alone! Mow over leaves to mulch them, and avoid bagging grass clippings unless you plan to use them as co mpost. For yard waste you are not equipped to compost yourself, Topeka has two yard material composting/recycling facilities: Garick Biomass Yard Materialas Recycling Center Forestry Products Recycling Center Material disposed at these facilities is processed for compost, turned into woodchips, or used for energy at the Frito Lay plant.
