Key Stage 1 Is Your Chance To Give Your Child A Secure Foundation In Year 2, we teach both Maths and English within a 2-hour class. We ensure all students can work on their more ch allenging areas and then be rewarded by working on their easier subject. At this age, we will develop their comprehension, grammar and punctuation to then build on their Maths skills. In our Year 2 groups have a maximum of 6 students and each group is led by a tutor and a mentor. This 1:3 ratio is unique and enables students to work independently with help when needed. Lessons will follow the National Curriculum while working one step ahead. This ensures our students can raise their hands to answer questions in school with confidence. Once students begin to succeed, they become enthusiastic about work, especially as any extra homework completed is rewarded with a prize.
