Description Yellow Cherry Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi) are sought after for their bright and cheerful yellow coloration. These shrimp exhibit varying shades of yellow, ranging from pale lemon to intense golden hues. Yellow Cherry Shrimp possess similar care requirements to their Red Cherry Shrimp counterparts and thrive in planted aquariums. They are well-suited for community tanks and are generally peaceful. Maintaining stable water parameters, providing hiding places, and offering a balanced diet are essential for their well-being. Supplement their diet with calcium-rich foods to support proper molting and shell development. The addition of dark substrate and background plants can further enhance their vibrant yellow coloration. Yellow Cherry Shrimp are easy to care for as they can adapt to a wide range of water parameters, able to tolerate both soft and hard water. They are great fish tank cleaners and will eat any fish food leftovers. The aquarium should be fully cycled before introducing any shrimp. There should be no traces of Ammonia or Nitrite, with Nitrates should be kept under 25ppm. A weekly water change of 20% is recommended to keep the nitrate low. Feed only 2-3 times a week as overfeeding will cause shrimp death.
