You'll need to place it in a sunny spot in your yard that is protected from winter winds. You can also plant your Yellow Fig in a container and bring it inside when it gets cold. When you're done planting, add 2" of compost mulch extending out 4" from the base of the tree. Water immediately after planting and allow the water to soak all the way down to the base of the hole.Watering: You'll need to frequently water your Yellow Fig until it is established.
