About the Yellow Labidochromis The Yellow Lab Cichlid, scientifically known as Labidochromis caeruleus, is a vibrant, popular freshwater fish, particularly sought after in African cichlid aquariums. They are characterized by their bright yellow coloration and are known for being relatively peaceful compared to other Mbuna cichlids. They are omnivorous, growing to about 4 inches in length, and are maternal mouthbrooders.
