Yellow Polyps, are an excellent beginner coral with regards to hardiness however they do come with a slight downside. They grow as a matt which can slowly spread across your rockwork if not kept in check. They also have the ability to sting other corals making them a double threat as an invasive coral. Controlling them however is relatively easy, as all you need to do is place it on a rock on your sandbed and then the coral will be unable to grow onto the rest of your rockwork.
