That's the concept behind Portland-based Imaginary Authors, a deliciously inventive house that is a creative mashup of olfactory, literary, and graphical arts. Yesterday Haze, the newest release from Imaginary Authors, is a creamy, gently sweet fig perfume inspired by California's dusty San Joaquin Valley and the imagined love triangle set there. "Just as sunsets are more beautiful on hazy days," our imaginary author Lenora Blumberg writes, "so, too, are the memories of yesterday."
