Appearing first in The Shadow Out of Time, Yithians are ten foot tall conical creatures with tentacled snapping pincers, strange tubular organs and ever-twisting elongated necks. The Yithians hail from a distant world left barren by an ancient war, fleeing cataclysms that would've spelled the end of their kind. Over and over again they have cast themselves across time and space, inserting their minds into any organisms they can find. Nobody can truly say what the Yithians once looked like, as any semblance of their original bodies have long been left to history. Trawling through time for new lifeforms, Yithians swap minds with those that they find and study their society from within. Innumerable species have unknowingly played host to Yith-kind, left only with fractured memories of a lifetime in another realm. Throughout this search Yithians have amassed technology and knowledge from across the stars, though their pursuit for new forms to flee into appears unending. This is a statblock for a Yithian, usable in 5E.
