A big thank you to one of our members, Russell, for sending in this excellent photo of Ynys Llanddwyn, a small tidal island off the west coast of Anglesey. As soon as I opened the attachment in Russell's Email, I knew that this would make a good subject, and I couldn't wait to have a go at it. I was drawn to the focal point of the lighthouse, situated on it's rocky mound protruding into the sea. I also liked the way the track, with it's little flight of steps, leads us from the foreground right to the lighthouse, making us feel we could almost walk into the scene, past the rocky outcrops, between the grass and the sand. A great little subject with lots of interesting challenges. Show more
