I have spent most of my life in Sheffield, which sits at the bottom of the vast English region of Yorkshire aka Gods' Own County. Throughout my life I have spent many days walking on the bleak and untamed North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales. I planned to move from Sheffield to Whitby, albeit this turned out to be the warmer climes of Devon. Being one of three daughters, the Brontes of Haworth were a big influence in my life and so I have included them in my vision of Yorkshire. I toiled and carved out my niche in Sheffield as a creative, serial entrepreneur from 1990 to 2016 and over three decades, travelled throughout the county for business meetings as well as leisure. I love Yorkshire's industrial grit as well as its vast open spaces, its architectural civic pride together with its cottage core quaintness.
