Young Frankenstein is a 1974 American comedy film directed by Mel Brooks and written by Brooks, Gene Wilder, and Richard Pryor. It stars Wilder as Dr. Frankenstein, a descendant of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, who is determined to prove that his grandfather was not a mad scientist. The film also stars Madeline Kahn as Elizabeth, Teri Garr as Inga, Marty Feldman as Igor, Gene Hackman as the Monster, and Cloris Leachman as Frau Blucher.
