Rare birds even by the standards of handcrafted, one-of-a-kind works of functional art, like artist Si Golraine's individual Yūgen Copper Kettles, these three-piece Yūgen Copper Te a Sets are as elusive as they come. Only two are available, designed and hand-patinated using heat from an open flame in the hands of our Staten Island-based creative director. Si begins with an elegant brushed copper kettle handmade in Japan and nickel-coated on the interior, carefully and intentionally oxidizing the metallic surface, the canvas for her artist's eyes, to create bold, beautiful imagery we have not seen before.
