First, it is worth noting that MIP is simply the French version of IPM so this is an 8.5% dilution of high purity Amberketal in IPM. Z11™ HD delivers extraordinary woody-amber power with remarkable iris elegance. This sophisticated synthetic creates a multifaceted foundation with exceptional tenacity and projection. Perfumers value its dual nature as the cornerstone in prestigious compositions where powerful woody character and refined powdery nuances define modern luxury. While our personal preference is for the softer form of this chemical (Z11™ 10 MIP) this more recently released HD (high definition) version is extremely popular and if you are looking for a more pronounced amber, this is the material to get. While it is already diluted to 8.5% by Firmenich, it is version powerful and you should still use Z11™ HD 8.5 MIP at 0.1-1.5% concentration in woody-amber accords. This material pairs beautifully with ionones, orris materials, and woody notes while adding sophisticated depth to floral and oriental compositions. Apply judiciously in fine fragrances where its distinctive radiant character provides exceptional longevity and seamlessly bridges base and heart notes.
