Za is a modest and humble stool series created by well-known Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa with purposeful simplicity in mind, highlighting Emeco's heritage in aluminium craftsmanship. Named after the Japanese word “za,” which means “a place to sit,” Za stools are constructed through a complicated 77-step process - a technique that has been used to produce the original 1006 Navy Chair since 1944. The Za Stool Hand Polished Stool's mirror-like surface gleams from three separate polishing steps, creating a show-stopping shine that captivates any room. Each stool is simplistic in form: A convex round seat and four legs, with a subtle concave top to keep the user seated in the centre of the stool.
