The most unlikely form of resistance, Zaatar (Za'atar) is a blend of herbs and spices commonly eaten in Palestine for every meal of the day. Since the occupation prohibition of picking wild plants on Palestinian land, the cultivation & consumption of Zaatar has become not just a staple dish, but a symbol of resistance towards the occupation. With a deep forest green, this keffiyeh colourway reflects the blend of spices and herbs of the well loved dish. Showcasing the tighter fishnet and olive leaves on a white base, the traditional patterns are woven in deep forest green. ▽ All 4 edges / hem (hadb) are decorated with knotted tassels. All 4 corners are decorated with a balled cotton tassel. Made from a blend of cotton and high quality synthetic, the Zaatar Kufiyah measures approximately 112 x 112 cm (44” x 44”).
