Where some commercial styl es of Albarino can seem overly ripe and tropical, the wines from Zarate are just the opposite – precise, mineral, and taut, drawing on the salty character of the Atlantic coast to give the wines a remarkable freshness. 2024 is benchmark Zarate, with structure and acidity and this “entry-level” Zarate is crisp, characterful and rewarding with a long, tasty finish, vibrant and almost salty Pairs well with white meat, seafood and shellfish.
