The Zebra Danio (Danio rerio) is an energetic schooling fish native to South Asia. Zebra danio have light, long bodies, contrasted by deep blue stripes. These fish are great eaters, extremely hardy, and exhibit exciting and energetic schooling behaviours. Minimum Tank Size: 10 Gallons Maximum Fish Size: 1.5 inches Water Temperature: 65F to 82F Ideal pH: 6.0 - 8.0 Water Hardness: 5 - 20 dGH Temperament: Schooling. Should be kept in groups of at least 6 members. Known to jump and fin-nip. Unless experienced with fish-in cycling, we always suggest cycling an aquarium BEFORE adding fish.
