ZelarySynopsisThe story of love and a fateful encounter between two contrasting personalities is set during World War II. The main character, an unfinished medical student (A. Geislerová), is forced to leave the city and hide from the occupiers in a high mountain village due to her boyfriend's illegal activities. There, she finds refuge in the humble cottage of earthy Jozef (G. Cserhalmi), and despite initial mistrust, a sincere and later romantic relationship develops between them. Eliška also learns about the harsh life of the people in this forgotten corner of Bohemia, where people can be both kind and cruel, much like the nature surrounding them. She experiences village rituals, encounters with partisans and Russian soldiers, and the end of the terrible war...
