In Japan, in the village of Hokkaido, lived an honorable but deprived family of Aitas. For the second year in a row, their rice harvest was declining, and it was becoming more and more difficult for Aitas to support his family. One evening, sitting on a stump and looking at the rice fields, he saw a fast-running weird fox. The next day, while Aitas was working in the fields, his wife brought him a modest supper. He wiped his sweat, sat on the rock and he started eating rice, but soon he saw the same fox that was squatting nearby. Her sad eyes looked straight at Aitas, who didn’t cease to be surprised that this fox had many tails. Realizing that the fox was hungry, he came closer and gave her leftovers of his food. The fox hurriedly sneaked to the food and, after swallowing everything in one bite, she skittered into the wilderness, waving her beautiful multicolored tails. Such communication between the fox and a man became closer and closer day by day, and the harvest of the Aitas family also grew.
