Her large, double blooms (17–25 petals) are borne close to the canes on short stems, creating a lush, romantic display in spring and repeating through the season. With few to no prickles, Zephirine Drouhin is especially well-suited for training along porch columns, pillars, arches, or walkways- anywhere you’ll want to pause and breathe her in. Growing roughly 8–15 feet tall and 6–8 feet wide, she can be trained as a climber or maintained as a large shrub. Her light green, matte foliage provides a soft backdrop to her vivid blooms. While vigorous and hardy in zones 5b–10b, she benefits from good air circulation and attentive care, including removing spent blooms to encourage rebloom.
