All-New Tool-less spacer design: This product is not a knife--it is a set of handles and does not include a blade. Widely viewed as the best-balanced handles for flipping available to the Lucha. Assembly Instructions / New Spacer Install/Removal Method Balance Adjustment & Lubrication Video Conversion Guide: Cycloid LC to ZippyLucha Product Description ZippyLucha handles (aka ZLucha) are a set of aftermarket handles for the Kershaw Lucha Balisong (live blade). They lighten the Lucha (3.62 oz), improve the balance for flipping, and introduce the high-performance threadlocker-free Zippy pivot/bearing system. DIY Assembly Kit You supply a Kershaw Lucha blade, I supply the rest. The ZLucha kit can be assembled in about 5 minutes and includes all the parts and tools you need for assembly. Usage Recommendations ZLucha handles turn the Kershaw Lucha into a great flipper with improved balance and a smoother, threadlocker-free pivot system. These handles are optimized for the live-blade, and are widely viewed as the best-balanced handles for flipping available to the Kershaw Lucha balisong. These are not heavy-duty "EDC-Work" handles for heavy cutting jobs. These are light-duty handles intended for flipping, but are able to perform light cutting tasks. The handles are made of Glass-Reinforced Nylon, which is known for its stiffness and durability, but there is still polymer flex that could make heavy cutting jobs unstable. These handles are for flipping only. Do not use these handles on a "work knife". Features These handles introduce a single racewasher to each bearing. Due to the axial stability and contact area provided by the raceway, this is the highest-performance bearing system available to the Lucha. It will feel 50% in between normal bearings and the Zippy dual-raceway system featured on the Parallax and Cycloid LC. This system offers better axial stability and controlled speed compared with all types of caged bearings, and is comparable in smoothness to Skiffs and Tacos. Please note that other bearings (such as Skiffs and Tacos) are not compatible with the Zippy bearings--the large cage of the the Skiffs and Tacos prevent the balls from nesting in the raceway. Features a "Pivot Ramp" (similar to the Parallax), which improves retention and control on some rollover-based tricks. Positive Jimping for extra grip on ladders and chokers. Threadlocker-free pivot system. Weighted with Tungsten for adjustable balance ranging from blade bias, neutral, and handle bias. Durability: constructed from the engineering thermoplastic Glass-Reinforced Nylon, the ZippyLucha handles are built to withstand the wear-and-tear of flipping and drops. Channel handle design with hidden zen pins and extension spacers. Disclaimer This product is not intended to be used with the trainer blade. The weight distribution of ZLucha handles is optimized with the live blade. Because the trainer blade is 0.203 oz heavier than the live blade, the trainer is not as balanced when used with this product. If you insist on using it with the trainer blade, it is recommended to use all weights installed to compensate for the blade bias. Additional Information ZippyLucha Changelog Flipping Videos & Reviews
