Move layered work more consistently The walking foot and lower feed dog work together to help feed materials that can shift or drag under a conventional presser foot. The open arm area gives you room to handle bags, covers and upholstery panels. This is a top-and-bottom-feed machine, sometimes called a shuffle-feed walking foot. It is not a needle-feed or triple-feed machine. Automatic functions that earn their place Thread trimming: cuts the threads at the end of the sewing cycle. Backtacking: secures seam starts and finishes using reverse stitches. Presser-foot lifting: helps you reposition or remove the work.
