Zoom F6 Multitrack Field Recorder: An Ultra Compact Audio Device for On-Site Recordings The remarkable Zoom F6 Multitrack Field Recorder is your handy companion for on-site audio recordings. This ultra-compact device is equipped with six XLR inputs, allowing you to handle any task effectively. With its dual A/D converters and the unrivalled 32-bit float recording quality, the Zoom F6 ensures that you capture pristine sound always. Even in varying conditions, it provides you with the advantage of not experiencing clipping from loud sounds or barely audible soft sounds without changing settings. This can be attributed to its low-noise range (-127dBu) and high gain (75dB). The portable nature of the F6 makes it easy to carry around, fitting comfortably in your bag or directly mounted under your DSLR or system camera. The device features an intuitive user interface and a bright LCD screen that displays all vital information. Using the F Control App (optional BTA-1 adapter required), you can control it with your smartphone or with the separately sold FRC-8 control panel. Synchronous Audio and Video with Accurate Time Codes Boasting an integrated time code, the F6 allows you to keep track of your audio and video sequences simultaneously. It ensures perfectly accurate time codes by linking with other devices on the set. Additionally, the device's 24-bit mode, with its one-millisecond delay, can detect loud sounds before recording, thereby preventing clipping. Furthermore, the AutoMix feature intuitively adjusts the audio levels based on the ambient noise, making your work easier. Impressive Power and Storage Options Recordings are saved on an SDXC card (not supplied). For power supply, the F6 offers several options. It can run up to 16 hours continuously with a Sony L-series battery and about 7.5 hours with four AA batteries. Additionally, you can power the F6 using an optional USB ZOOM AD-17 adapter.
