The zamioculcas zamifolia, or more commonly called ZZ plant, is known for its beautiful structured, waxy leaves that create a unique accent to any space. ZZ plants tolerate neglect, are drought tolerant, and accepts low light conditions without throwing a fit. These plants grow rather slowly, so you will not need to repot very often. Care and Handling of a ZZ Plant ZZ’s do best in moderate to bright indirect light. However, they will do fine in low light areas. Your ZZ will need watered when the soil is dry to the touch. Do not over water. ZZ are toxic in large quantities, so keep away from nibbling pets. What to Expect from Your Order Once you have selected your desired size of plant, we will begin preparing your plant for delivery. We pot your plant in a stylish container and add lush green moss to the top of the plant as a finishing touch. Our studio presents the plant naturally in a contemporary container. You will never receive shiny foil paper or big satin bows. Once in the hands of the recipient, our team member gives directions on how to take care of the gift as well as directs them to information provided on the back of the enclosure tag which lets them know how to get ahold of us if they should want more details. Welcome your new plant friend in and talk to him lovingly. As you do, he will begin purifying your air and making oxygen for you. When you receive your ZZ, it will come with enough water to be carefree for about 7 days. After this time, water once per week and allow soil to dry before rewatering. Shipping and Delivery Information Deliveries leave our studio at 9am. You can expect your gift to arrive between 9:15am and 12pm. If you have placed a same day delivery request, orders will leave our studio at 2pm and can be expected to arrive between 2:15pm-4pm. Our delivery team carefully loads your gift into our vehicle’s floral carrying system, which protects your gift from damage and guarantees pristine arrival despite transporting. The delivery specialist will photograph your gift upon arrival at the recipients door. Next, we will ring bell/knock and attempt to place the gift in the hands of the recipient. If successful, our team member will send you a confirmation email along with a photo of your gift. If unsuccessful, we will contact the recipient by phone to see where they would like us to safely leave their gift or we will make arrangements to schedule a pick up from our studio when convenient to them.
