This book is an index to burials located within the current boundaries of Frederick County, Virginia, as of the year 2002, but is not inclusive of the city of Winchester. A list of cemeteries in the county is included, with directions and information that may help in locating cemeteries that are still accessible. The map, "Frederick County, Virginia," by Eugene M. Scheel (1974) was an invaluable source in locating a majority of these cemeteries. Many small cemeteries are no longer in existence, and although appearing on maps and in other references, were never found. The dedication of volunteers was vital and invaluable to the completion of this project. This work was edited and coordinated by Nancy Delaney-Painter and Susan L.
