Conway County, located in the mid-central p ortion of the state, was created 20 October 1825 and named for Henry Wharton Conway (1793-1827) a Territorial delegate to the United State House of Representatives. This brief history begins with the creation of the county and continues up to the time of the printing of this publication in the mid-1880s. Because the information was compiled by the referenced family, it should be very accurate and detailed. A short history of the county is included, followed by the biographies.
