The Full Story This example has maintained very beautiful condition overall. It shares a nearly identical case, dial, movement, and design with the Breitling Premier Chronograph reference 760. The case shows a nice, clean appearance with minimal scratches and the bevel on the lugs still visible. There is no question that the dial is what draws the attention here. The center of the dial is slightly raised, giving the illusion that the dial has a two-tone silver finish. The stepped dial spectacularly highlights the blue tachymeter and red telemeter scales with the outer edge of the dial sunken further to add another dimension to the levels. The subtle Arabic numerals and slim baton blued steel hands add just enough accent to the watch. Singer had distributions in different regions, including Turkey. While we are unable to precisely ascertain the significance of the signature “Erdal Inönü” on the dial in this context, it is the name of a prominent political figure in Turkey’s history in the mid to late 20th century – which makes this watch an interesting part of its history. The case shows some surface scratches overall, and the caseback engraving is still legible. The pushers and crown appear to be original. The dial is preserved very well. There are slight marks on the outer track, most notably a faint black line between two and three o’clock. The handset is also in beautiful condition without any wear on the blued steel finish.
