Like many beauties that have graced the cover of magazines and books over the years, this piece has a few distinguishing touches that set it above the rest – for example, the four lines of text are printed slightly differently than other El Primero references of the era. With only 1,000 pieces known to have been produced, and the El Primero movement that operates at 36,000 vph, this is a rare and beautiful piece that has only continued to gain renown over the years. Our example retains its luminous material, and best of all, the vibrant blue dial with both tachometer and pulsometer scales intact. An often overlooked perk of this watch is the quick-set date at the first crown position. You won’t want to sleep on this one. It has a signed crown and its case shows it was worn, but only lightly. The case remains very sharp with little signs of polishing. The luminous material on the indexes and handset has aged lightly; otherwise, the dial is in excellent condition. The caseback exhibits some light scratches, likely from previous openings. This is a stunning and special vintage Zenith you don't see often.
