The Sternwheeler "Casca" on the Yukon River with a barge tied off its bow in front of Dawson City. The boat flies the "Royal Mail", "B.Y.N.Co." (British Yukon Navigation Company) a nd Canadian flags. The Casca (3) was built in Whitehorse in 1937, 1,300 tons, by the B.Y.N.Co.. the machinery from the Casca #2 was salvaged and used to build #3. It was the plushest tourist boat on the Whitehorse - Dawson run. The last year of operation was 1952. It sat on the banks of the Yukon River at Whitehorse until 1974 when it burned to the ground.
