With a history stretching back to 1815, Quinta de la Rosa began as a vineyard under the tutelage of German Dietrich Feueheerd. In 1906, the Estate was purchased as a christening present for Claire Bergqvist by her English grandmother. Claire continued to farm the estate, selling grapes to Sandeman for decades, until 1988 when Tim Bergqvist along with his daughter Sophia began producing their own port wines, along with pushing forward Duoro table wines. Quickly making a name for themselves as an independent Quinta in the region. Produced from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, and Tinta Roriz farmed in the Vale do Inferno, their 20 Year Tawny was aged in 550L oak pipes and exudes almonds, spices, dried figs and plums, with a long, dry finish. 19.2% ABV
