2027 dates to be announced · Live online A four-day intensive in pharmacokinetics taught by Leslie Z. Benet, Ph.D. (Professor Emeritus, UCSF), scheduled in Pacific time to fit a standard US workday. The US course follows the same curriculum and physics-based methodology as the EU course, with lectures led by Dr. Benet and workshops in small groups led by individual tutors. Format 4 days of live online instruction via Zoom 7 live lectures with Dr. Benet, 7 small-group workshops, 2 additional expert lectures Limited to 90 participants Daily curriculum Day 1: Renal and hepatic clearance, drug input, bioavailability Day 2: Protein binding, MRT concepts, dissolution, half-life, multiple dosing Day 3: PBPK, saturable kinetics, BCS, BDDCS, ECCS, renal clearance complications Day 4: PK/PD modeling, macromolecular pharmacokinetics, review of basic concepts Tutors for US 2027Tutor roster will mirror the established US faculty. Past US faculty has included Dr. Christine Bowman (Genentech), Dr. Marc Yago (Amgen), Dr. David Lau (Septerna Inc.), Dr. Justine Lam (Erasca Inc.), Dr. Jae Chang (Gilead), Dr. Chi-Yuan Wu (Topalliance Biosciences), Dr. Shufang Liu (Daiichi Sankyo), Dr. Laurent Salphati (Genentech), Dr. Maribel Reyes (Korsana Biosciences), Dr. Carolyn Cummins (University of Toronto), and additional lecturers Dr. James A. Uchizono (University of the Pacific) and Dr. Sara Kenkare-Mitra (UCSF). See the Tutors page for full bios. What's included 4 days of live online instruction Access to a private Course Hub with all lecture slides, workshop materials, and the daily schedule AUC/AUMC calculation tool Daily and end-of-course evaluations Certificate of completion Why this course is differentThe course uses a physics-based teaching methodology validated across thirteen peer-reviewed Benet Lab publications since 2022. It builds a full working command of pharmacokinetics without requiring you to derive differential equations, and it explains phenomena traditional PK teaching glosses over.
