DESCRIPTION This coat is of Swedish origin and was made by the tailor Per J. Billing. We are not familiar with this atelier, but according to the label it was based in Stockholm. Unfortunately, the name and date fields on the label have been left blank, but the coat was most likely made around 1950. It is crafted from a black wool fabric with a subtle twill texture. The coat is double-breasted with three rows of buttons. It features horizontal front pockets with flaps and a buttonhole on each lapel. The back is straight with a single vent. The interior is fully lined and has two inner pockets – one on each side. Regarding condition, the overall impression is good, but there are a few points to note. There are minor damages to the lining along the bottom front edge. The buttonholes have been repaired at some point. Additionally, there is a discoloration on the front. This is clearly visible in the photos, although studio lighting accentuates it; it is far less noticeable in natural daylight. Further spot cleaning may reduce its appearance. None of these issues materially affect the overall condition. Please study the photos carefully and form your own opinion.
