An intermediate switch sits between two two-way switches in a multi-location lighting control setup. It allows a single light or group of lights to be controlled from three or more positions. For example, in a long hallway or staircase with switches at both ends and one or more mid-points, the end switches are two-way and the middle switches are intermediate. Does this module include a mounting frame? No. The module clips into a separately-sold Knightsbridge grid mounting frame. Frames are available in one-module, two-module, three-module and larger configurations, and in matching finishes including brushed brass. What back box depth is required? A 35mm minimum mounting box depth is needed to accommodate the module and frame. The combined projection from the wall once fitted is approximately 20.5mm. Can this be used to dim lighting?
